UCLM

Universidad de Castilla – La Mancha

UCLM is a Spanish university, recognized by law on 30 June 1982. It offers courses in the cities of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Toledo, Almadén and Talavera de la Reina. Despite its youth, the University of Castilla-La Mancha enjoys a rich historic-artistic and environmental heritage on its campuses.

The courses at the UCLM, which has been recognized as a Campus of International Excellence by the Spanish government, are based on a flexible academic system, personalized treatment, and all-round quality education. The Internationalization is an essential factor in improving the quality and efficiency of Spanish universities and is one of the key strategies of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), an institution with a clear dynamic and competitive character in the national and international areas.

The concept of internationalization is not restricted to student mobility and international agreements, but to a series of initiatives or projects aimed at placing a valuable human capital in line with the new demands of an increasingly competitive global market. Globalization and the need for knowledge affect all countries and, in this line, the university is committed to becoming a magnet capable of attracting talent and knowledge-related capital from all over the world.

The Department of foreign languages

The Department of foreign languages has subscribed many inter-institutional agreements with universities all over the world which allow the development of different international mobility programmes (Erasmus+ studies, Erasmus+ Internships and other non-Erasmus programmes) or the programmes of lecturers, which enable lecturers having a stay in a foreign university as well as at UCLM.

The Mobility programmes from the University of Castilla – La Mancha includes the exchange of a great number of students every year and, in fact, they enrich both their academic and personal training of the students, as they allow them to learn another way of working, learning other languages and opening their minds to other ideas and cultures.
